Three structural traps A, B C, in a Miocene Gulf of Mexico deltaic sequence.
A and C are downthrown closures set up by large south-dipping normal faults.
B is an upthrown closure against two intersecting north-dipping fault.
Notice that the downthrown closures do not show any amplitude signature.
The upthrown closure has a well-developed amplitude anomaly with
excellent structural fit.
All three traps have been drilled: the downthrown traps are wet,
while the uptrown trap has gas pay.
